a song without words

Sing for me
Sing like life has made you memories
Those that live without life to give them
And you've forgotten the emotions that evoke as such
Yet they continue on and flourish like weeds on your heart
An evergreen in every dream
A thought of thoughts in the depth of drought
Sing as if you are alone
Unabashedly so without care of another
Sing a tune that makes you think of happier times
And make up the words you forget in an attempt to rhyme
And fill in the thoughts you misplace
At an attempt to make sense of the once harden imprints that are now mere brushes
Slight indentations
Sing the simplest of songs
For the most intricate of wrongs
And repeat the bridge
To signal a place we lived
Of lullaby and melody and crescendo
Sing a duet for one
