brown eyes (and other things once considered green)

We set out to be set aside
I've told you I set you apart
O' the roar of the last train from the station
From screams that bellow deeply
They dont speak as loud as my heart
How could I not come for you?
Of right and just and all things spun from truth
Or who could forget the middays last dawn? From spring to fall and spring
From yesterday to last week to last year
Moments we've spent apart
And together when we've meant to be alone
Hindsight mocks introspection as its forever slightly ahead
And we'll look back on this as impossible as it may seem
We will remember it fondly like a last sip
Like warmth and also like a breeze
What one needs now is not a precursor for tomorrow
